Cruising back to base at Devizes Wharf, here is Moonshine, one of three 57′ narrowboats. Beautifully reflected in the still calm canal water, just cruising between the last two bridges before mooring up at the end of a perfect weekend. The weather has been glorious through most of this month, October, and indeed all summer. A very cold and snowy start to the season meant that our boats were waiting for a warmer spring, and the summer has been the hottest we remember for a long time. The fleet has been almost fully booked throughout the summer, making every turnaround Monday and Friday busy, often with 3 or 4 boats coming back to be prepared for their next adventure. The days drawing in and the weather inevitably turning colder, but we still have boats available until the end of November. With full central heating on every boat they are toasty warm, even if the outside temperature drops overnight. Waking up to a fresh misty morning on the canal is a rather special and peaceful start to the day. If you fancy a weekend break or a longer escape, then check out out availability and relax on a White Horse Narrow boat. With the kids on half term, maybe a short cruise with the grandchildren will keep everyone entertained this Halloween.
