We no longer use our office and work from home or remotely/flexibly, especially on Monday/Friday in the season when we are getting the boats ready for their next hire at Devizes Wharf. Emails reach us at any time which is why we suggest you email us in the first instance, and we will call you back if you email your phone number.

If you are one of our hirers needing to contact us during your journey to us or whilst on one of our boats please refer to your hirers manual and/or your Arrival Details which give you the necessary mobile contact numbers.

If you want to come to look at the boats you’ll find us next to the Wharf Theatre in Devizes (SN10 1EB).

We are usually at Devizes Wharf on Monday and Fridays (our turnaround days) through the season from March to October, but please contact us in advance if you’d like to arrange a visit and be shown onto the boats. (Please remember that on some days all boats may remain out on hire so it is entirely likely there will be no boats and no one around!)

If you need to speak to us more urgently please email us your telephone number with the reason for the email/ urgency.

Please do not visit Burbage Wharf – we do not have boats or staff on site for you to visit – there is no access to this private site.

 

Social Responsibility

We take our responsibility towards the canal environment very seriously. We fully train our hirers and will not let them set off on their waterway adventure until we are sure that they are confident in handling our precious boats. All our holiday hirers are given our Hirers Manual and a comprehensive lesson on the rules of the canals. You can download our  Hirers’ Manual for your information. Our dayboat hirers are given similarly thorough instruction but without the lock/overnight instructions because they are not supposed to use any: they are especially warned against speeding i.e tickover past moored boats and no breaking wash!

However, if you have experienced any problems with one of our boats then let us know promptly by email. Please ensure that your message includes which boat it was, what date/ time and exactly where the incident happened. Any photo attachment supporting your complaint would also be very helpful. We also require your name, contact details, your boat’s name and where you were – so that, should we need to contact our hirer, we have enough evidence to be able to act upon your concern.
